Payouts & transfers
Moving money out to your bank, or between balances, once it's settled.
A Payout moves money from your available balance out to a bank account. A Transfer moves money between balances inside PaymentGateway (for example, splitting funds between two connected accounts). A Quote locks in an exchange rate when currencies differ.
How it works
- Create a Payout against your available balance, targeting a saved bank account. It goes through an approval step, then settles to the bank.
- Create a Transfer the same way — it stays inside the platform, no bank rail involved — useful for marketplace-style fund splitting.
- If the source and destination currencies differ, get a Forex Quote first — it locks in a rate for a short window before you commit the Payout or Transfer.
- Retrieve a Payout or list every Payout; the same retrieve and list endpoints exist for Transfers.
Only available funds can be paid out — funds still held (pending
settlement or a dispute) aren't eligible until they clear. See
Balances & transactions.
Common use cases
- A weekly payout of your accumulated revenue to your business bank account.
- Splitting a marketplace order's funds between the platform and a seller.
- Converting a USD balance to THB before paying out to a Thai bank account.
